Our indoor cycling classes will inspire you to challenge your body and mind, and to get in the best shape of your life. Indoor cycling is a form of highly aerobic exercise that blasts calories, builds endurance, and provides excellent upper and lower body conditioning. It’s different than simply riding a stationary bike, in that it adds great music, highly trained instructors, and a motivating group setting to inspire and challenge you.

You don’t have to be in great shape to enjoy indoor cycling, because you can tailor each ride to your fitness level. In fact, cycling is an excellent way to get in the best shape of your life: Research suggests that cycling can help you burn an average of 400 to 500 calories in a single 40-minute session! Each class can vary, but you can always expect a fun, non-competitive environment that fosters camaraderie and challenges your body and mind.

 

First Class Prep


 

All of our classes are designed for all levels of riders.

You can tailor each class to your personal fitness level by adjusting the tension on your bike. Yen Cycling classes are taught in our dedicated cycling amphitheater where we have more than two dozen LeMond RevMaster bikes—the very best bikes on the market.

Fuel your ride. 

Don’t ever bike on an empty stomach. It is best to eat a little something about an hour before you ride. And, don’t forget to hydrate all day leading up to your workout!

Arrive to the studio at least 15 minutes before the scheduled class time. 

This will give you time to let the instructor know you are a first-time rider and set up your bike. All new riders are given a release agreement before spending a little time with the instructor to get familiarized with bike set-up, bike safety, riding style and more.

Focus on your ride. 

Experiencing a new workout can be intimidating, but know that at some point everybody was new. It is up to you to control how hard you work.

Wear what makes you comfortable!

There is no special equipment or clothing needed for a cycling class. We suggest you wear tennis shoes and comfortable workout attire—moisture-wicking clothing and cycling shorts are nice, but not necessary. Experienced cyclists sometimes use indoor cycling shoes—bike shoes with SPD pedal clips—which can enable more powerful pedal strokes, but these aren’t imperative.
