The highly acclaimed Inspired Life training – your next step toward earning your Yoga Alliance RYT 500 accreditation –is designed to deepen your understanding of yoga's ancient wisdom alongside the most current research on the neurological, anatomical and psychological effects yoga has on its practitioners.
Yen’s 300-hour training begins with the 8 Limbs, but we layer on so much more. Through a diverse array of learning techniques, assignments and experiences, your authentic and confident teaching voice will naturally emerge in this transformative journey.
Conveniently held on weekends (with the summer months dedicated to peer groups and self-study) Yen’s 300-hour teacher training is a way for professionals or anyone with weekday commitments to achieve their advanced studies in yoga.
Whether you aspire to become a yoga teacher or simply wish to deepen your understanding of this ancient practice, Yen’s 300-hour Inspired Life Teacher Training will empower you to step into something amazing.
Cost
The 300-hour Inspired Life Teacher Training package includes Yen’s 12-month unlimited membership (valued at $2,028), an option to enter our outstanding Mentorship Program at a reduced rate, and more!
Cost: A $4,000 early bird rate is available through December 1 for winter start/August 1 for fall start and must be paid in full on December 1/August 1. Beginning December 2/August 2, tuition increases to $4,500.
Payment Plan: A 12-month payment plan for the $4,500 tuition is available. A deposit of $500 by December 30/August 30 and a credit/debit card on file is required to use this plan. Beginning in January/September, students will be charged $353.33/month, a charge that includes a 6% interest (or $20/month.)
WHAT IS THE YEN SCHOOL OF YOGA INSPIRED LIFE TRAINING?
The thoughtfully curated Inspired Life Training starts either January or September. During this 11-month program, you will not only take a deeper dive into the how and why behind yoga poses, philosophy, meditation, breath-work and more, you will also get certified in Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing.
Using an engaging combination of ancient wisdom and modern approaches, Yen’s Inspired Life Training is a perfect way to cultivate something incredible, no matter where you are in your yoga studies.

You will end your training with summer self-study and team assignments. Graduation for this cohort is scheduled for August 2025.
*To earn their 300-level Yoga Alliance certification, all aspiring teachers will be required to take 24 in-person or virtual yoga classes with lead trainer Leslie Simionescu in addition to attending the above training dates.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Join us on our year-long journey as we go deep into the teachings through experiential learning (group discussions, activities, projects, targeted experiences, creative outlets.) Practical learning guides the advanced teaching techniques for hands-on assists, cueing, sequencing and holding space for all. How does this show up in our daily lives off the mat, especially as this mindset pertains to you? Through breath, movement and study, you will gain insight into the myriad ways core and pelvic floor dysfunction present in your body, from incontinence to anxiety. Students will also be introduced to core musculature as well as the anatomy of the hip and pelvis. There is a difference between learning yoga and learning how to teach yoga. While our program certainly honors and explores the depths of yoga philosophy, our focus is on teaching yoga. While many people sign up for a 200-hour yoga teacher training to learn how to teach, or to simply dive deeper into yoga, this 300-hour professional program is designed for yoga teachers who desire meaningful change in their approach. Our graduates have gone on to teach at countless yoga studios, gyms, resorts, as well as work with corporate and private clients.

Group learning is one of the many gifts that a training offers. While it is impossible to recreate a moment in time or a session that is missed, we understand that life happens, and sometimes unforeseen circumstances come up. If more than five hours of training are missed, the student must schedule makeup with one of the lead facilitators at a rate of $50 per hour to graduate from the program. Students must contact the program director before the weekend which they will be missing. No more than 15 hours in total can be missed across the program.

No, though some experience teaching outside of your initial teacher training will be extremely beneficial. The training is about diving deeper into the study and practice of yoga, as well as the skills needed to be an amazing teacher. It doesn't matter if you've been teaching for one year or 20, in this program, you'll find a supportive environment where teachers and facilitators challenge one another to grow and celebrate success.

The program is broken down into requirements by Yoga Alliance. Each program is made up of approximately 220 live hours including lectures, asana labs and practice with the lead trainers. To make the most of the live lessons, home study is assigned for each module. Trainees typically spend an average of 5 hours per module on self-guided home study and projects.

Yes! You pay in full or break the tuition up into as many as 12 monthly payments.

You will receive 12 months of a Yen Yoga unlimited membership, valued at more than $2,000. You will also receive a comprehensive trainee manual, including the Stand-Up Paddleboard yoga teacher training manual.

There are several required texts that are required for home study assignments. Additionally, it is recommended that you purchase two yoga blocks, one bolster, a corregeous ball and one yoga strap for the training as well.

Because space is limited, we do consider the first $500 paid to be your initial deposit. If you cancel fifteen (15) days or more before the start of the program, you will forfeit $500 of the deposit and the remaining balance paid will be refunded.
