I started YYF in 2010. I was a dedicated Hot Yogi and heard about a new studio that was opening and could go for a week free! I knew Kate Evans from Bikram Yoga because she was teaching at YYF, I thought I would check it out. I walked in and was immediately in love with the energy I felt in the studio. Sara Harding gave me a tour and I was hooked. I knew this was my new second home. I started practicing all different styles of Yoga and felt a difference in myself, not only physically, but spiritually. I have practiced Yoga since my teens due to having scoliosis and knew the physical benefits. I had a home practice (and still do), but love group classes and the yoga community.

I can’t pick a favorite class because I love all types of Yoga. I have to work on balance. I am drawn to heated and flow classes, but know how important it is to slow it down sometimes. I love attending classes with all different teachers and learn from each and every one.

My biggest accomplishment was becoming a yoga teacher so I could share my love for yoga with others. Jenny Lintvedt is my Teacher who I learned so much from. She gave me the opportunity to sub for her when I was a brand new teacher. That was huge and took a lot of courage. The moments that mean the most to me are when I hear students talk about how much Yoga has helped them through really tough times or they were inspired to live out a dream because of Yoga. I believe Yoga heals us and gives us strength to do what we didn’t think we could do! We find our way to do what was always there…our wholeness and greatness!
