~ When did you start coming to Yen Yoga & Fitness?

I  was looking for a place to call home when I first moved to TC 4 years ago, and even though I did not become a member right away I fell in love with the energy of the place instantly.

~ What was your reason for starting? (Mind, Body, Health, etc)

This year I decided to commit to the annual membership for a couple of reasons. Firstly, running a business and working full-time tends to be a bit stressful if I dare to admit :). Yoga is a perfect outlet to get centered, prioritize self-care, and meditate on my goals, priorities and bigger vision. I’ve had more than one a-ha moment on the mat.

Plus after years of lifting and high impact fitness routines my body was screaming “enough”, and I finally listened. Even though this part felt a little bit force fed, as I love high intensity, I have not felt better in years, quite literally. So grateful for that.

~ What has been your biggest accomplishment since becoming a member at Yen Yoga & Fitness?

Stress management, and being a lot more patient with my body. My spirit is up, my mood is always good, I am more patient, present, focused and or so flexible ;)

~ What is your favorite class?

ALL OF THEM. But if I were to pick: Warm Yin + Hot Vinyasa.  I could probably do just those two and be completely content.

~ Do you have any funny Yen moments you'd like to share, or any "meditations from the mat" moments?

Ha! Well today I came up with the copy for the facebook ad and a title for my next course while in class, does that count?

~ What advice or words of encouragement would you like to pass along to people who haven't been to Yen Yoga & Fitness?

This facility and teachers are world class. Trust me when I say I’ve done my leg work: Germany, Russia, and plethora of studios across the USA. I love to take classes when I travel, and I always think back to the welcoming aura of YY and the impeccable skill level of the instructors. I’ve taught classes for years at the gym and am exactly picky when it comes to that. You will not be disappointed with your experience. But don't take my word for it, try it!
