At Age 92, Yoga Master Says Everything’s Possible

We’re loving this story circulating this week about yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch, who, at age 92, is an inspiration.

Born in India, Porchon-Lynch worked with the French resistance during WWII, studied yoga under legends B.K.S. Iyengar and Indra Devi, has met the likes of Duke Ellington and Mahatma Gandhi, modeled couture in Paris, acted in Hollywood, and founded her own yoga studio, Westchester Institute of Yoga. And? Five years ago she picked up competitive ballroom dancing.

Porchon-Lynch draws from her life’s rich experiences to inspire, motivate and educate her students.

The above video is from from a 2006 broadcast of the show Your Total Health, via Porchon-Lynch’s YouTube channel (where you can also see clips from her ballroom dance competitions). We’re in awe over her spirit just as much as her evident flexibility and strength! Amazing inspiration.
