Lisa Reehorst | Yoga Instructor
“It is my intention to encourage and promote a healthy yoga practice through breath, movement, and body alignment which supports and elevates a deeper sense of well being during savasana and beyond the yoga mat.” —-Lisa Reehorst
Lisa realized her passion for yoga when she first stepped into a hot yoga class in 2005. She actively participated in a variety of yoga classes for nine years before deciding to become a certified 200 hour yoga instructor in 2014. She is a RYT 200 member with Yoga Alliance and has obtained teaching certifications for yin and SUP yoga through Yen Yoga and Fitness in Traverse City, MI. Lisa has experience in teaching hot, vinyasa, yin, detox, and gentle yoga, and is hoping to complete her 300 hour training by 2020.
Lisa moved to Traverse City, MI 25 years ago with her husband. She feels extremely fortunate to have been able to raise her three daughters in beautiful, scenic Northern Michigan where her family has been actively involved in dance, yoga, winter sports, sailing, hiking, and camping. She holds a BA from the University of Colorado, over 90 hours in graduate studies, and secondary teaching certifications in Colorado, Ohio, and Michigan. She has taught ballet, modern, and musical theater for the past 23 years, and is currently choreographing and teaching ballet at Design Dance Studio in Traverse City.
