Immerse yourself in the how-to’s of the Hot Yoga System: learn its origin, history, and evolution (so far!)

This training will give you insight into the reasons ‘we do what we do’ in the Traditional Hot Yoga class at Yen Yoga & Fitness. You’ll be learning, in depth, each pose and modifications, names of postures, benefits or reasons for doing them and the reason they are in this specific order.

You’ll be reviewing the timing for 60, 90 and 75 minute classes, reviewing the heat index and getting to know how to manage the heat system in studio one.

We will be spending considerable time on cuing and finding the best ways to get the student into the pose and out of the pose. Understanding the postures is mandatory and students must have studied and practiced the hot yoga system in the past.

Completion of this training is a pre-requisite for teaching hot yoga at Yen Yoga & Fitness.


Daily Schedule


Hot Yoga Class with Leslie

8:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Break (Shower, Eat, Etc.)

9:30 – 10:15 a.m.

Lecture, Practice Teaching, Etc.

10:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.




During training, students will need to take at least one hot class per week with an experienced YYF teacher. These classes will not cost you extra and will not pull from your current class package if you have one.

Students need to purchase the book Hot Yoga MasterClass by Gabrielle Raiz for homework reading ($14-25 on Amazon).

If a session is missed, students will need to arrange a make-up session with Leslie. There may be additional fees for make-up sessions.
